will reintroduce an award winning literacy project that historically developed
literacy in children through exposure to artistic masterworks, providing higher
standards of excellence, allowing children to achieve greater self-esteem and
literacy ability. This literacy program will coincide with the Fine Arts department
adding new multicultural appropriate prose and poetry readings, group script readings
of children's plays and dramatic performances encouraging children to read and
memorize their parts while improving their literacy and verbal skills. The demonstration
of these acquired skills will be exhibited in performances for parents and the
broader community and funding sponsors. | | |
