Professor James Hundon

Self-Defense Instructor

Professor James Hundon is the founder of the Universal Martial Arts Academy and is a veteran of the martial arts for over 35 years. He hold 7th Degree black belts in Kyohuejitsumae Jujitsu and in Small Circle Jujitsu; as well as black belts in Chinese Kenpo, Kodokan Jujitsu and Sugar Ryu Jujitsu.

Professor Hundon has studied with some of the greatest martial artists of our time: Great Grandmaster Wally Jay, Professor Robert Crosson, Soke Lil' John Davis, Soke James McQuees and Doctor Moses Powell. He has competed internationally, winning many competitions and receiving numerous awards. He is featured in Great Grandmaster Wally Jay's "Dynamic Jujitsu" the first book published about Small Circle Jujitsu.

Professor Hundon has been involved in child development since the 1970's - both in martial arts as well as sports. Besides teaching at Whitney Young, he currently coaches both girls and boys basketball for St. Elizabeth Middle School in San Francisco.
